Topic description: Wellbeing is the work, not just the outcome” challenges the idea that wellbeing is something to fix after performance drops. Instead, it shows how wellbeing is shaped daily by inclusion, psychological safety, and how people are treated at work. This practical, human-centred workshop explores everyday behaviours, team culture, and expectations that either protect or harm mental and emotional health. The focus is on reducing harmful conditions—not asking people to be more resilient—so teams can create environments where people feel safe to speak up, set boundaries, and thrive.
Gill Cooke (she/her) is an Inclusion Consultant, coach, and thought leader who helps organisations improve talent retention, reduce attrition and absence, and enhance employee and customer outcomes through intentional inclusion.
With a background in IT programme management, delivery, planning, and HR, she has made a measurable impact across the organisations she has supported, fostering more inclusive and supportive workplace cultures.
Gill was recognised as one of Diversio’s 133 Women Changemakers in 2023, is a Tech100Women Winner, and has served as a volunteer UK delegate for UN Women for the past three years.
