Partnership-Led Growth: Building Routes to Market You Do Not Have to Own

Not every business needs to grow through more ads, more cold outreach or a bigger sales team. Strategic partnerships can create access to new audiences, stronger credibility, shared opportunities and faster routes to market. But many partnerships fail because expectations are vague, value is one-sided, or there is no commercial structure behind the relationship. This panel explores how businesses can identify, build and manage partnerships that generate real revenue — not just networking conversations.

About Ian

I am a Business Growth Speaker and host of the Executive Grooves podcast, drawing on nearly five decades of accountable business leadership to help business owners understand one essential truth: some businesses succeed consistently, others don't, and the difference is rarely accidental.

My signature talks explore why that gap exists and how leaders can close it. They blend real‑world lessons from a career that has taken me through some of the UK's most significant engineering, technology, digital transformation and infrastructure programmes; from designing next‑generation tube trains, to building the UK's first mobile networks, to leading major IT and business‑process transformations across Europe.

Across those years, I've led teams, turned around operations, delivered complex programmes, and helped organisations grow through clarity, structure and disciplined execution. Today, I use that experience to empower business owners to thrive ; not through theory, but through lived leadership.

Alongside my speaking work, I contribute to charities, schools and Community Interest Companies, supporting their development, governance and long‑term sustainability. I currently serve as a Trustee of Northamptonshire Mind and Trilogy Active.

If you're interested in business growth, leadership clarity, or bringing a seasoned speaker to your event, let's connect. Drop me a DM to introduce yourself.
