As an independent trainer, I work freelance in England facilitating the MHFA England courses. I also have an interest in Zimbabwe where I hope to increase mental health awareness in the future. I became an MHFA Instructor in 2015, and a Workplace Instructor and National Trainer in 2018. I receive very positive delegate feedback from the training I deliver. My life experience tapestry has three strong threads. Firstly, working as a company director and sales and marketing professional, I have corporate experience in leadership, management, organisation, systems and planning. Secondly, whilst living and working in Africa I founded the Zimbabwe ADHD/ADD Support Group (an informal third sector organisation) where no such group had previously existed. Through the group, I supported a wide range of mental health and developmental issues affecting families, not ADHD/ADD alone whilst cooperating with other organisations (private and third sector) with specialist skills. Thirdly, I use all my life experience to enrich the training I deliver making it pertinent and relevant to my students.
Prior to delivering training, my career included sales, startups and the re-engineering of businesses under economic challenges, mostly in chemical and manufacturing SME’s in Zimbabwe and England. I come with great interpersonal skills, excellent communication and presentation skills. I pay attention to detail, can plan, budget and execute with energy and a sense of humour.
